That’s something I’ve experienced firsthand and it’s one of the reasons I’ve always seen HR as more than just managing processes. In my search for solutions, I came across Dr. Amy Edmondson’s research and the concept of psychological safety in the workplace, the idea that people do their best work when they feel safe to speak up, take risks, and learn from their mistakes. It’s an approach that encourages openness, collaboration, and innovation. Yet, despite its merit, it’s still overlooked in far too many workplaces.
